Ms. Yates is an accomplished lawyer who focuses her practice on trademark, copyright, and sweepstakes and promotions matters, including litigation, Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and licensing issues. Ms. Yates has been recognized as a leading lawyer in intellectual property, having been selected as a 2014 Rising Star in Georgia.

Ms. Yates has more than twelve years of experience representing individuals, non-profits, and small and large companies, including athletic equipment, apparel, and footwear companies, consumer product manufacturers, software companies, hosting providers, beverage companies, restaurants, professional and celebrity chefs, recording artists, hospitals, and medical-related companies, in connection with every aspect of non-patent intellectual property law and sweepstakes and promotions law.

Ms. Yates has served in leadership roles with both the International Trademark Association (Academic Committee) and the State Bar of Georgia’s Trademark Committee. Ms. Yates also served as Chairwoman of the Board of Directors for an Atlanta theatre. Additionally, since 2003, Ms. Yates has served as a judge for the Saul Lefkowitz trademark law moot court competition. Ms. Yates is also a frequent presenter regarding trademark and copyright-related issues.
