National, January 26, 2015 – The nation’s first national full service cloud-based law firm, FisherBroyles, LLP, (FisherBroyles) experienced explosive growth in 2014. And 2015 looks to be more of the same with its expansion into the Ohio market. FisherBroyles has recently opened three new offices in Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati. And, in doing so, it welcomes five new partners.

Diem Kaelber focuses her practice on business litigation and education law. She has extensive experience representing and advising companies on business litigation matters and providing her expertise to schools on education law. She is an accomplished litigator who has successfully represented plaintiffs and defendants both in court and before administrative tribunals in matters involving general liability, premises liability, agency liability, consumer liability, contract disputes, partnership issues, breach of fiduciary duty, ethics law compliance, constitutional compliance, insurance coverage, bad faith, and tax controversies. She is recognized as a Rising Star in Business Litigation and a Super Lawyer in Education Law. Prior to joining FisherBroyles, Mrs. Kaelber worked for another national law firm. She also has previously worked as a lobbyist and for “Big Four” tax and consulting firms providing strategic business solutions.

Edmund Brown represents public and private entities, including for-profit and non-profit corporations, as well as traditional public and charter schools, in labor and employment matters, collective bargaining, contract negotiations, mediation, arbitration, civil litigation, and the daily administration of internal policies, as well as compliance matters involving state and federal laws.

David Kern is a commercial litigator who has a special focus on sophisticated business disputes, risk management, and liability defense.  In addition to contract disputes, he has extensive background litigating business torts such as fraud, negligent misrepresentations, trade secrets, and covenants not to compete. He also has an extensive background with insurance bad faith claims, construction litigation, real estate litigation, foreclosure actions, banking and commercial lending, receivership litigation, lender liability, fiduciary litigation, and real estate loan workouts/restructuring.  Mr. Kern also serves as outside general counsel for a number of closely held businesses.

Ford Huffman has practiced in the area of general litigation for more than 30 years.  Before opening his own practice in 2009, he was with Jones Day for 25 years practicing in its General Litigation and Trial Practice groups.  He managed Jones Day’s Columbus Office from 1995 through 2008.  Mr. Huffman has litigation experience in all levels of state and federal courts in jurisdictions throughout the United States., including arbitrations, mediations, and regulatory hearings.  He served as counsel to the receiver of an insolvent insurance company in litigation against the company’s former management and auditors, which resulted in a verdict of $119.9 million and a collected judgment of over $200 million. During the financial meltdown of 2008, he served as regulatory and litigation counsel to one of the largest financial guaranty insurance companies in a restructuring that resulted in substantial capital enhancement through an innovative reinsurance transaction, avoiding receivership proceedings.  He has also regularly represented clients in commercial, employment, insurance and bankruptcy litigation and has served as nationwide product liability defense counsel for an international building products manufacturer. Mr. Huffman has also consulted on a number of lawyer professional conduct  and legal malpractice matters, and has prosecuted and defended breach of fiduciary duty claims of minority shareholders in closely-held corporations.

Ms. Saganich also has more than 25 years of experience as a commercial real estate attorney and has represented landlords and tenants in the negotiation of office, retail, restaurant, and industrial leases, as well as the negotiation of a variety of landlord/tenant disputes and lease enforcement issues. She has served as outside counsel for national and international companies in connection with leasing, acquisitions, corporate relocations, dispositions, sale/leasebacks, 1031 exchanges, construction, development, incentives, and land use in all aspects of commercial real estate, in addition to general corporate matters.
