On Thursday, January 2, 2020, columnist Karla Miller quoted Amy in her article for The Washington Post entitled, “When an employer actually needs ‘the best man for the job.'” The article, which you can read here, discussed a narrow exception under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964-posting a job ad specifying one gender instead of another when the trait is a bona fide occupational qualification reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the business.
